Perry Gets Back on Message, Guns, God and True Grit

(Fowl Line) I'm not sure if Rick Perry is the worst campaigner ever or the smartest.  Power dropping like a stone after throwing several hissy fits with Mitt Romney at the last couple of debates, Perry reemerged to once again throw some sticks and stones at Romney before marching off to kill him some Daffy Duck.  W taught us, never underestimate a Texan, and you can see the liberal press quaking in it's stylish "Hate Bush Boots" but Perry might be sly as a fox, of course it's equally likely he's dumb as a stump...

well said! Shooting stuff is as American as Apple Pie...I'm not really weepy about his hunting, I just wonder if he does it when he's not running for President in Iowa?

I'm all for blasting a tiny bird to bits if'n it floats your boat. I hate politicians who use it as a prop to get votes...

how is that any different than using your time as a "community activist" as a prop to get votes? Perry has a certain demographic he is targeting that's all

You're absolutely right South, I think it's insincere much like Obama's cup of coffee as a community organizer.

I love guns as well, but I view them as what they really are, a tool. Just like a hammer. They have certain uses, and way more responsibilities. Luckily I was raised around firearms (1st one when I was 6) and taught the right way to do things. I think alot of the hate direted at firearms is because alot of people only know what they see on TV and the 'net. And very, very rarely do you hear or read something "good" about a gun or gun owner.

I think the fact that you generally don't here about any of the responsible owners of all different type of guns is a sterling tribute to how well they execute their responsibility to their family and community in possessing weapons that have a great potential to take lives. NRA!

one for instance: My wife hated guns, until we had a kid. Now woe to the person who lays hands upon him, she will shoot you. She'll probably feel really bad about it, but she will shoot you.

-Ed, sorry for getting kind of off topic.

South, as far as I'm concerned you're spot on, nothing matches a Mother's love for shooting things that might harm their child...I'm not much for painting a conversation in a corner, where it goes is half the fun...

    you should post a poll,

if you or a loved one were threatened, would you defend them with deadly force?
